Reweaving

ADD YEARS TO YOUR WOOL AND WOVEN GARMENTS WITH REWEAVING

Whether you need a small repair to your woven garments and rugs, or even a larger repair, our expert reweaving team has you covered.

Here at Jack’s, we have several different types of reweaving styles at our disposal. For smaller repairs, we use The Invisible Weave. With this weave, our tailor will take individual threads from a concealed area in the garment like a hem or side seam and reweave them over the damaged area.

For larger areas, it may require taking a section of fabric and weaving a new piece over the damaged area. Be aware that with this type of reweaving, there may be a slight shift in the weave at the point of connection, but it can make larger repairs almost unnoticeable.

And just like that, your wool and woven garments are restored to like-new condition!

Note: However, some fabrics may not be suitable for reweaving, such as rayon, corduroy, chiffon, satin, and fine silk.
